The magical and poetic universe of author Guimarães Rosa inspired designer Ronaldo Fraga to create his Summer 2007 collection and brought the challenge of sketching a dialogue between fashion and the author´s work.
Giving priority to wide shapes, and even flying ones, Fraga showed dresses, skirts, pants, tunics, bermuda-shorts, and blouses. Layers are welcome.
On print there is a romantic stroll through nature that is marked by the work of Guimarães Rosa, like animals (snakes, birds),trees, moon and stars, to name a few.
To develop such pieces, the designer used cotton, crepe, knit, serge, and chambray. Yellow, chalk, argyle, salmon, blue-green, red, and orange were some of the colors explored in the collection.
