Air New Zealand & Karen Walker support Fashion Scholarship

The successful scholarship recipient will be announced at the beginning of January 2007 and rewarded with a structured 12-week work experience programme designed by Karen Walker, and an international trip flying Air New Zealand.
Inspiring New Zealanders is a scholarship programme that involves "inspiring" New Zealanders who have achieved the highest level of achievement in their field, providing inspiration and guidance to the next generation of talented New Zealanders.
The first scholarships focused on Olympic Sport and were made available in September 2005 to young athletes who are currently being mentored by Hamish Carter, Bevan Docherty, Sarah Ulmer and Claudia Riegler.

New Zealand based fashion designer Karen Walker's label is stocked in over 140 stores throughout the world and her designs are worn by celebrities such as Bjork, Alison Goldfrapp, Juliette Lewis, Jennifer Lopez, Sienna Miller, Claire Danes, Shirley Manson, Cate Blanchett, Liv Tyler, Samantha Morten.
