'Amanda Wakeley for Aston Martin' debut collection

Gaydon based Aston Martin and British fashion designer Amanda Wakeley announce a new collaboration. Amanda Wakeley will act as an ambassador for Aston Martin globally and will design an “Amanda Wakeley for Aston Martin” clothing collection, launching next year, which will be distributed via the Amanda Wakeley website and also through the Aston Martin Collection and dealer partners worldwide.

This new partnership deal will be launched at the Amanda Wakeley Spring/Summer 2007 Fashion show at London Fashion Week on September 21st 2006.

Aston Martin Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Ulrich Bez said: “Beautiful design and unparalleled attention to detail are central to Aston Martin's ethos of power, beauty and soul. We are delighted to announce our collaboration with Amanda as we both share similar values in the quality of our materials and in our craftsmanship.”

Amanda Wakeley said: “As a British fashion designer who sells around the world it is incredibly exciting to be working with Aston Martin, an iconic British brand with such global recognition. Style, luxury, superb craftsmanship and the use of only the best materials are values we share. I have long held an ambition to work with Aston Martin.”

Amanda Wakeley launched her signature label in 1990 and over the last decade and a half has developed an international reputation for designing supremely luxurious, elegant women's wear and accessories. She is the winner of several awards including three British Fashion Awards for Glamour.
