The 63-year-old fashion designer Jeff Banks, who presented the BBC's clothes Show in the 1990s, is shortly opening his own clothes shop in York.
The fashion guru is looking forward to opening a "stand alone store" in the city in November. Earlier than this, he would be launching 110 new men's concessions in Australia.
In another earlier project, Jeff was collaborating with Matalan for the Jeff & Co collection, a range for men and women created for the retail giant.
In 1964, Jeff entered into retail with the infamous Clobber store in London and in 1969 he was inspired to create his own label, when he married singer Sandie Shaw.
Thereafter, Jeff co-founded the Warehouse label and high-fashion; affordable clothes were made available to the masses for the first time. Simultaneously he was working with the top stars of the day, including the Eurythmics, Boy George and Duran Duran.
After working as a presenter on the BBC's Clothes Show, Jeff's became the first designer to create a capsule design range for the high street with the Debenhams 24/7 line.
