At the Redds African Fashion Design Awards (RAFDA), Mpho Kuaho of Jophes 09267 confirmed her talent and designing skills in fashion by coming out as an overall winner.
Kuaho's designs defeated the ones by fashion designers from Uganda, Swaziland, Kenya, Mozambique and Zambia at RAFDA finals in Tanzania.
She has won US $5000 along with a tour to Cape Town Fashion Week in March 2007 and seven days of internship with a senior international designer.
She also participated in December Fashion Week held during December 12-16 this year for gaining global recognition.
She made use of graceful and glamorous textures in her designs. Colour combinations were remarkable due to rich blending, which gave her dresses both domestic and international looks.
