Ichiro stresses on accuracy while fabricating original clothes

Designer Ichiro Nakatsu strongly believes that original clothes should be fabricated in patience.

He takes practical approach in all stages of production, including design, stitching, and the treatment of material to give it a slightly faded appearance.

Ichiro carefully examines every tiny part of item like line and the pocket size before deciding on what to do with it.

When he was at vocational college, he made a study on jeans by separating old items for examining their individual parts, the stitching, and the seams.

Retro feel from his clothes comes from stitching with antique American sewing machines in his studio and creative use of parts, original chain and thickness of materials.

Denims made by him are finished for extra toughness and longevity and his standard five-pocket straight-leg jeans particularly strike for smooth curved stitching and flap pockets.
