In order to make Wenzhou an International Fashion City and an international garment trade platform, businessmen have planned to invest RMB380 million at the Hangzhou Ilex Garment Trading Center.

The International Fashion City with a total area of 73,000 square meters will import the middle-grade garment brands from Europe, Japan and South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

These overseas brands will be displayed along with Chinese garments. This will also be a platform for the domestic brands to route to abroad and international brands to enter the Chinese market.

With the introduction of the foreign designers the domestic market can be more professional.

It is reported that the trade center will start in March this year and completed in August 2008.
