Alka Nishar's fashionable South Mumbai store, Aza, recently showcased a preview of Spring Collections by designers Wendell Rodricks and Isha Mehra and Mana Shetty, who believe that drapes, prints and soft colours are the code for coming season.
Introduction of Wendell Rodricks' label and Mana & Isha's range to Aza will attract our mature clientele would get an enhanced shopping experience, said Alka Nishar.
Wendell's collection has captivated visitors with his drape wizardry and Mana & Isha offer exquisite wearable classics which can be worn for various occasions as well as in a range of sizes.
Inspired Drapery Wendell Rodricks had recently launched Geometric Drapery Collection is a blend of design principles, using ancient Indian geometry to create fluid drapes.
Wendell is considered India's guru of minimalism and transforms smoothly from Indian thought to international interpretation.
His mastery of fluid form is well known and his collection is sensual, fluid, Indian and international with use of palate that is pristine white, surf, grey monsoon sky, volcanic black, azure blue, sand and nude tones.
Wendell's new collection merges East and West to create new horizons.
Summer Line Mana Shetty and Isha Mehra, who have been designing clothes under label, 'Mana & Isha,' will now be retailing at Aza.
Says Mana about their latest collection,"Our line for Aza is a contemporary summer Pret line. Our fabrics are cool, natural and vibrant. The work is subtle, with touches of embroidery… extremely wearable. Sizes are great and so is our pricing!"
The summer line creations are lot of linens with embroidery, block prints and vibrant colour prints, lots of tunics and skirts and shirts in classic colours of white and beige which are perfect for hot months- all with very little embellishments
"One can never go wrong with classics. Another highlight of our collection is that nothing is revealing, all the clothes are wearable and designed for the mature woman," adds Isha.
