In a first ever, well-known fashion designer Suneet Verma has made his debut in Hollywood by acquiring an assignment to design costumes for actress Goldie Hawn's first directorial movie 'Ashes to Ashes', which is slated to be released by the end of this year.
The film, which will be shot both in Chicago and India, is about a fashion diva played by Hawn who comes to India to bury the ashes of her husband in the Himalayas, where they had enjoyed their honeymoon. She discovers her true identity in the process.
Though Suneet was not available for comment, sources said the storyline will give the designer ample scope to display his imaginative design styles.
With Verma's entry into Hollywood, doors of the tinsel town will open to other well-known Indian names in the fashion industry.
