Several of her creations have exquisite hand-painted motifs and many stitching techniques like pin tucks, pleats, crushing and fusing.
Deepti further informs us about the latest Indian and international fashion trends. "Minimalist with a lot of interesting fabrics, blocks of colour, tone on tones and different textures of black together are some of the popular trends in vogue," says Deepti.
She adds further, "The looks could be at two ends of the spectrum; On one end, it is women's vests and skirt suits inspired by men's wear while at the other, it could be retro glamour from the 40s, cinched waists and pencil skirts."
Talking about the latest colours in fashion, she says, "Any tone or shade of purple, green and terracotta colors are in. Apart from colours, coats are also very popular; these could again be inspired by men's clothing like biker and motorcycle jackets and chic coats. Leather, especially its softer form, is very much in demand. Since the focus is on waists, belts become very important this fall."
Deepti plans to sell AWN collections through other retail outlets from October and expects to launch a second store by December 2008.
