Renowned Spanish designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada arrives to New York to give a preview of her spring/summer 2008 fashion collection on Tuesday, September 4th at her loft, on 135 Wooster Street.
Famous for her colorful and iconic designs, Agatha's inspiration for next spring is the future, the "naïve" future of the '60s: a bit Barbarella, a bit Paco Rabane (one of her mentors).
With techno-materials such as metal, patent leather, polyurethane, cotton and yarns with lurex, this collection is all about shine. Prints are new versions of flowers, stars and hearts.
Shapes are simple forms... some pleats at the waist, bell-shaped skirts, and a slight reminiscence of the "Eurovision look." New: a complete collection for sports and accessories.
