Using low-impact dyes and no VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) water-based paints for silk screening and participating in Carbon Free Business (a partner of carbonfund) to offset its carbon footprint, Evidence of Evolution Green has gone to great lengths to support eco-consciousness within the fashion industry.
"We are a complimentary design team. I use my artistic background as a photographer, while Andrew, who has worked for Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana and Prada, uses his knowledge of fabrics, fits and finishes. We were thrilled when Barneys New York asked us to design a new collection made of eco-friendly and organic fabrics," comments Ali Alborzi.
Evidence of Evolution Green will feature such items as slim, deconstructed suits in premium organic sateen cotton for men and fluid, organic cotton voile dresses for women. The one-of-a-kind, handcrafted articles, outlined with original artwork, reintroduce fashion in an extraordinarily organic form.
The designers successfully created unique techniques that allowed them to construct a vibrant and conscious collection without sacrificing any creativity.
