Live Dubai, the first arabic scheduled for November 30 – December 2, made serious waves as they announced none other than UAE's own 'King of the Runway' Walid Attalla as the official costume designer.
Live Dubai is a musical masterpiece that re-lives the vision and genius of a nation's leadership and is based on the 'Story of the UAE'. The event is an 'Original' by writer/director Mohammad Al Nabolsi and features a team of over one hundred artists.
A grand exhibition comprising of some of the most groundbreaking names in the UAE Business sector shall precede the opera. The three day Event From 30th of November to 2nd of December is ideally timed to conclude on the country's national day
Walid Atallah started his career in Dubai, where he presented his first collection in 1996. More than 40 shows later Atallah's collections have graced the runways of Lebanon, Oman, UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Syria and Egypt, as well as in Italy and France where he has been awarded as “International Designer of the Year” from the French Association of Fashion Designers.
Walid Atallah was the first designer to use diamond and precious stones as an integral part of his designs. He has designed one of the most expensive wedding dresses estimated at US$ 1.2 million.
Attalla has received many awards and recognitions including a certificate of appreciation from the UAE Minister of Youth and Sports: His Highness Sheikh Faisal Al Qassimi, a certificate of recognition from Her Highness Sheikha “Thajeba”, the Queen of Bahrain, recognition as “The First Gulf Fashion Designer” for his foremost position in the region's fashion industry and a certificate of recognition internationally respected fashion designer Jean-Claude Cerruti
