Tom Ford to open retail outlets in Moscow

Observing a lucrative opportunity in the 2.5 billion-euro luxury goods market Tom Ford, has decided to open two retail outlets at Tretyakovsky Passage and Barvikha Village in Moscow by next year.

The creator of the Tom Ford label, the American fashion designer, known for his contribution in the revival of Gucci Group, along with franchisee Mercury Group plans to offer custom-made men's suits worth $5,000.

Tom Ford shops here will mainly focus on men's wear and accessories along with luxurious items like sable fur hats for the local market.

For the last five years, luxury brands like Louis Vuitton, Ferragamo and Burberry are expanding in Russia.

Ford has also inked accords with Italian men's wear maker Ermenegildo Zegna SpA to produce clothing and with Estee Lauder for fragrances.
