Born out of a passion for travel and design, Tia was inspired to create the line by the people, the land and the traditions of exotic cultures.

Founder of AITTIA, Tia Wilkins, explains, “The idea for the brand came from my love for traveling and experiencing new and unfamiliar cultures and also my appreciation for fashion and individual style.” Tia explains why Peru was chosen for the first collection in the line, “Peru is a country with immense versatility. The AITTIA brand represents a unique approach to women's fashion. The name, AITTIA (pronounced ahh-te-ah) is a palindrome meaning it reads the same backwards or forwards and as Tia describes, “The significance of the palindrome is that it stands for two contradicting things, conformity - to blend in, and individuality - to stand out. Finding the balance between the two is a struggle we all experience, in some aspect of our lives. For me, it was with fashion and how that expressed who I am. I created AITTIA to inspire others to have confidence in their own individuality by showing possibilities that can come from the places you least expect.”
