Hair pioneer, co-founder of Haircolor USA and founder of Yellow Strawberry Global Salons, Jesse Briggs has invented a new hair wave technique called the S Wave Thermal Set that industry experts say heralds the end of the traditional perm.

1960s Bob Hair Style Updated for 2006

Four decades ago, Maurice Tidy worked with Vidal Sassoon in London popularizing the 1960s bob hair style.

Now he has revived the bob, pairing it with the S Wave Thermal Set to update the look for the new millennium.

Tidy, the stylist-to-the-stars, has joined the flagship salon of Yellow Strawberry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and is helping the internationally renowned artist Jesse Briggs usher in the S Wave era.

Tidy says, "The S Wave will make history much in the same way that Vidal Sassoon and he did back in the '60s with blow-dried styles. Millions of people are going to be wearing the S Wave."

Five years in the making, the S Wave Thermal Set uses a more gentle waving solution along with special rollers and the application of heat to create easy-to-manage, soft curls.

Briggs says the romantic look is back in fashion and the S Wave is the gentle, fast way (only 20 minutes) to achieve the latest look.

He says the S Wave formula is different from a perm, is ideal for use on natural or multi- colored hair, and the results last three months or longer.

"Anyone with hair long enough to be wrapped around the special S Wave rollers 2-1/2 times can have the Thermal Set.

And managing it is so easy – S Waved hair can either be scrunched into an edgy look or styled into a soft, dreamy wave. It looks amazing on everyone!"
