As the catwalk lights up throughout LA Fashion Week, the most anticipated show this year is pronounced “Material World” taking place on Friday, October 22, 2010 at Fresh Paint Gallery 9355 Culver Blvd. Ste B.
The fashion show will feature designs by Robot & Brucling, Sachika, Kissed By Rain, SB Shades, Galaxy Rocks, Cherry Pie Swimwear, Delise' Ana and $tory Afon$ visually gifting attendees by ripping the runway. Fastest climbing line and new celebrity favorite, Cakemix Clothing will serve as the centerpiece by unveiling their couture T collection. Hair design provided by Leon & Crew and Make-Up by Nekeah Fuller's All About Face company.
ctress Elise Neal, Rosa Acosta, Sugar Shane Mosley Jr., Actor Sean Riggs and other celebrity surprises will glide down the catwalk of flashing lights this Friday. “Material World” also will also provide a musically inspired fashion-to-beauty art exhibit by celebrity photographer and graphic designer Kawai Matthews of Air Philosophy. This year, Jamarcus Pegesus returns to Destination 1610 as Show Coordinator, last year's wow factor was his topless show opening for the sole purpose of allowing accessory designers the proper exposure.
For a little less than two years, Celebrity Stylist, Joe Exclusive and Publicist, Echo Hattix has produced fashion driven events under the name Destination 1610. This year the two decided to extend the fashion show visibility by breaking it up into four individual shows. “Material World” will also be taped for an episode of Actress LisaRaye's TV One reality show “The Real McCoy” due to air next year. In addition, Blackmen Magazine will offer a 10-page spread to their readers surrounding the behind-the-scenes to show time of “Material World.” Attendees can expect an unforgettable presentation complimented by the biggest buzz around town.
