As quoted by Shaahid "My omnibus of designs for the 'Terra Mater' or 'Mother Earth' line collection primarily springs from the rudiments of nature and from royal Mughal attire of antiquity. The Jama & its close cousin the Angarakha, were developed following impulses received from Persian courts and imbibed into the Mughal courts. Taking a cue from those lines & cuts, I have given it my own tweak. The ideology behind the anthology is to stray away from synthetics & concentrate on organic & natural fibers. Utmost care has been taken to make sure that the entire collection is Eco-friendly.
“I have shied away from using chemical dyes where required & opted instead for vegetable dyes. Clichéd, as it may sound, but the working title for this collection was 'Save the Earth'. A great lot of research & detail has gone into the kind of design elements I wanted to use & blend in the ensemble. Whats even more thrilling is that weput this collection together within a span of 10 days."
