Social compliance monitoring company Cal Safety Compliance Corporation (CSCC) informs CSCC, STR, and the CPDC (branch of Chinese government based in Beijing) will partner to host “Social Compliance and Supply Chain Security: Discussions and Solutions on Effective Program Management in China”, a conference being held in Shanghai on February 21, 2006.

The CPDC, or Chinese Productivity Distribution and Regional Economic Development Committee, is a widely recognized NGO registered with the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As a branch of the Chinese government, CPDC has the capability to extend its power, reach, and goals to government officials as well as top executives from multi-national corporations.

CPDC's decision to co-sponsor this conference is unprecedented and marks the first time CPDC has partnered with a monitoring firm. This will be a rare chance to hear, first hand, Chinese government officials from Beijing speak on CSR issues!

Speakers Include:
- Wang Maolin, Deputy Director, Law Committee, 10th National Law Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference
- Guo Jun, Director of Law Department, ACFTU - All China Federation of Trade Unions (China's Official State Union)
- Zhai Ligong, Chairman, Supervisory Panel of the State-Owned Key and Large Enterprises of SASAC
- Fan Zhanjiang, Vice Deputy Director of China Labor Dispute Agency
- Fu Wei, Vice Deputy Director, China Safety Production Supervision & Administration Bureau
