Securing Your Mission Critical Assets Using Advanced Loss Prevention Techniques
Global supply chain visibility is becoming increasingly important, particularly as manufacturing is moved offshore. With supply chains lengthening (manufacturing in Asia, shipped to US and Europe etc.) it's becoming more important to have visibility of your products while they are in transit.

The transportation from manufacturing into the region is becoming a major component of the length of the supply chain, and the better you can see what's in transit the better you can plan around the material. This is especially true using ocean freight as transit times can be over 30 days from Asia to US or Europe.

The logistics service providers that move the freight become the lynchpins for this visibility through the use of ASN (Advanced Shipment Notifications) or SSM (Shipment Status Messages), etc. Just having this visibility doesn't get you a lot; it's what you do with it that matters.

Take away points include:

Minimizing risk through visibility in your supply chain.
Turning ASN and SSM data into usable information.
Outsourcing – How 3PL's and 4PLS influence visibility

Xtalks' goal is to make the exchange of ideas more accessible, easier, quicker, less expensive and more insightful than any other conferencing model.
