Fashion Technology Park (FTP) at Mohali plans to invest almost Rs22 crore to set up a research and development (R&D) centre at the Business School of Fashion.
Jagjit Singh Kochar, CEO, FTP, said that the Business School is an important part of the park and would provide backing to talented upcoming designers to work for companies.
This new laboratory will offer state-of-the-art machinery for sampling fibres and garments.
Kochar informed that Vinod Kaul, Founder of Fashion Development Council of India, is supporting FTP, which will boost new projects.
FTP provides platform for designers as well as handicraft artisans to globalize their talent and present to the world their best products.
