The need for research and development in the knitwear sector has become paramount with the advent of WTO regime in textiles.
Department of Science and Technology (DST) sponsored a two-day workshop on 'Knitted Fabric Technology' (KFT) in Bhatinda city, organized by Giani Zail Singh College of Engineering and Technology.
Emphasis was laid on the necessity of holding such workshops and interactions as the knitwear sector consisted of mostly small and medium entrepreneurs.
