C Ramasamy advocates use of modern technology in cotton

Vice-Chancellor of The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Dr C Ramasamy has advocated the use of modern technologies in cotton cultivation in order to enhance the input, efficiency and income.

Inaugurating the 'Diploma (agriculture) and training on intensive cotton development programme', he emphasized that if the above steps are taken, the income of the farmers will be doubled.

Ramasamy stressed on the role of BT cotton in decreasing the cultivation cost and enhancing productivity.

Agricultural Research Station at Bhavanisagar in Erode district hosted the gala in which the District Collector Dr T Karthikeyan demanded setting up of an agricultural university at Bhavanisagar, boasting of bountiful natural resources.
