There was no significant movement in cotton yarn prices in the Delhi market. Buyers remain worried about demand prospects after the ** per cent US tariffs. A trader from Delhi told Fibre*Fashion, “The market may see better sentiment only if US tariffs are removed or the Indian government provides a major package to the industry. GST reforms do not benefit cotton yarn and the cotton value chain. Polyester and other manmade yarns will be cheaper, and this advantage will put pressure on cotton yarn.”
