India's polyester, viscose yarn prices rise on costly fibre; demand up

In Ludhiana, polyester spun yarn prices rose by &#****;* per kg following an increase in virgin polyester fibre costs. However, polyester-cotton yarn remained stable. A Ludhiana trader told Fibre2Fashion, “Polyester spun yarn prices increased mainly due to expensive fibre. The country’s top manufacturer increased polyester fibre and raw material prices by &#****;*–*.* per kg. Polyester yarn demand usually picks up before winter as lower prices attract buyers in the season.”
