Chinese yarn output up in double digits

From January to May, China's yarn production touched 10.803 million tons, an increase of 10.1 percent year on year.

In May, yarn output registered 2.408 million tons in May, an increase 8.6 percent year on year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

As of May, cotton yarn production accumulated 20.792 million tons, an increase of 10.3 percent year on year, in the current cotton year (September-August).

32 cotton carded yarn averaged at 33,793 Yuan / ton in May, down 2,312 Yuan / ton, or 6.4 percent compared with the previous month.
