Cheap Chinese cotton yarn imports have impacted prices of domestically produced cotton yarn.
Although absolute amount of imported cotton yarn is not comparable to yarn produced by Chinese local textile mills, still imported yarn has an influence on the market.
The main reason being low yarn import prices as cotton yarn prices are lower in international market.
As of March 26, the delivery price of 32s cotton carded yarn imported from Pakistan was 26,019 Yuan / ton.
This is lower than 26,140 Yuan / ton, quoted by local textile mills for the same count and quality of yarn.
