Brazil to initiate anti-dumping probe on nylon yarn

The Government of Brazil has announced that it will conduct an anti-dumping investigation on nylon yarn originating from four Asian countries – Thailand, China, Korea and Taiwan.

According to the Foreign Trade Secretariat of Development Industry and Foreign Trade Ministry of Brazil, the HS codes for the concerned products are 54,023,119 and 54,024,520.

Since China is not considered a market economy country in anti-dumping parlance, Brazil will select South Korea as a yardstick while calculating normal value of the export products involved.

Brazil has asked the concerned companies to reply to a questionnaire within 40 days of the date of the mailing of Self-Questionnaire to them.

Other stakeholders could also participate in the investigation by applying to Brazil through their legal representatives with 20 days from the date of announcement.
