Owing to a fall in yarn inventory levels after spinners cut their production since March or April, China’s yarn production again increased in the month of June.

Last month, China’s produced 2.833 million tons of yarn, registering an increase of 276,000 tons, up 10.8 percent year-on-year. The figure is an increase of 164,000 tons or 6.1 percent more compared to May 2012.

From September 2011 to June 2012, China’s yarn production totaled 26.053 million tons, which is an increase of 14 percent year-on-year.

During the first half of 2012, China’s yarn production stood at 15.076 million, a rise of 13.2 percent year-on-year.
