Prices of all cotton yarn remained stable in Jiaxing and Shengze markets of China during the week ending July 22.

The prices of cotton yarn 32s and 40s were stable at 25,400 Yuan/ton and 26,600 Yuan/ton, respectively.

There was demand for cotton yarn J21s in the market, as the yarn is mainly used in the production of nylon/cotton fabrics on jet weaving machines.

The export volume of pure polyester yarn 45s increased slightly owing to the rise in prices of polyester staple fibre (PSF).

PSF prices increased to 10,200 Yuan/ton while the average price of viscose staple fibre (VSF) rose to 14,950 Yuan/ton.

During the ongoing week, Chinese yarn market is expected to show a modest upward trend.
