China's yarn production reached 2,214,000 tons in June, an increase of 9.4 percent year-on-year. From January to June, total yarn production touched 10,962,000 tons, an increase of 13.6 percent year-on-year.
In June, the average price of carded cotton yarn 32 was 18,186 Yuan / ton, down 22 Yuan or 0.1 percent from the previous month; the average price of PSF was 8109 Yuan / ton, down 693 Yuan or 7.9 percent from the previous month.
As of June, China's cotton yarn output realized 18,547,000 tons, an increase of 6.3 percent year-on-year in the 2008-09 cotton year.
