In the previous week (April 12 to 18), demand for polyester / nylon composite filament slightly increased from downstream sector, especially sales of polyester / nylon filament 160D enlarged, as it is blended with polyester DTY75D/72F to produce two-sides fleece fabrics on jet looms and is also blended with cotton yarn to produce nylon/ polyester/ cotton fabrics.
The product is mostly used as warp yarn in production of fabrics, but as weft yarn in production of high-grade fabrics. The current market prices are displaying stability for yarns such as DTY160D/72F × 16 polyester / nylon composite filament, which stood at 16,300 Yuan / ton, unchanged from the previous weekend.
Prices of DTY90D/75F × 16 polyester / nylon composite filament and DTY75D/36F × 16 polyester / nylon composite filament also displayed stability and remained unchanged at 22,100 Yuan / ton and 22,700 Yuan / ton, respectively.
The industry believes that demand for polyester/ nylon composite filament products will increase from downstream sector, pushing product sales of polyester / nylon composite filament products, as weaving enterprises pick up production of fabrics using these as raw materials.
