Chinese yarn output surges in 2010

China's textile and apparel industry continued to rebound in 2010, production growth of textile raw materials accelerated.

China's yarn production reached 2.467 million tons in November 2010, an increase of 254,000 tons or 11.5 percent year on year, and an increase of 63,000 tons or 2.6 percent from the previous month, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics

China's cumulative output of yarn totaled 24.85 million tons from January to November 2010, an increase of 3.186 million tons or 14.7 percent year on year.

Cumulative production of yarn realized 26.4136 million tons from September 2009 to August 2010, an increase of 3.7527 million tons or 16.6 percent year on year.
