Yarn production shows steady growth

In December, China's national yarn output touched 2.523 million tons, registering an increase of 191,000 tons, or 8.2 percent year on year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

In 2010, national yarn production totaled to 27.17 million tons, witnessing an increase of 3.274 million tons, or 13.7 percent year on year.

In December, monthly price of cotton carded yarn 32s averaged at 34691 Yuan/ton, registering a decrease of 5,377 Yuan/ton, or 13.4 percent from the previous month.
