Following the recommendation of the Ministry of Commerce, the Government has decided to continue with the imposition of anti-dumping duty on viscose filament yarn originating from China.

An anti-dumping duty of up to US$ 4.82 per kg shall continue till February 24, 2012, according to the Department of Revenue.

The duty was initially imposed in 2006 on viscose filament yarn, to protect the domestic industry.

Viscose filament yarn is mainly used in fabrics meant for clothing and home textiles.
