The expected export slowdown could reduce domestic consumption of both virgin and recycled yarn.

Cotton yarn prices steadied in Ludhiana on Monday after easing last week. Demand remained weak amid uncertainty about the future. A trader from the Ludhiana market told Fibre2Fashion, “Buyers in the cotton textile value chain are waiting and postponing purchases. Spinning mills are avoiding price cuts and will formulate a strategy once the market direction becomes clearer.”

In Ludhiana, ** count cotton combed yarn was sold at &#****;***-*** (~$*.**-*.**) per kg (inclusive of GST); ** and ** count combed yarn were traded at &#****;***-*** (~$*.**-*.**) per kg and &#****;***-*** (~$*.**-*.**) per kg, respectively; and carded yarn of ** count was noted at &#****;***-*** (~$*.**-*.**) per kg today, according to trade sources.
