South Indian cotton yarn faces pressure, prices down in Tiruppur

In Tiruppur, cotton yarn prices fell by &#****;*–* per kg across different counts and varieties. Spinning mills and stockists lowered rates to clear inventory but continued to face difficulties attracting buyers. A Tiruppur-based trader told Fibre2Fashion, “Garment manufacturing may slow down in the coming weeks. Consequently, fabric demand has reduced. Cotton yarn production is abundant compared to consumption.”
