Polyester yarn manufacturer Sybly Industries Limited has started manufacturing recycled yarn. The company is currently operating in B2B market space to test the waters for its target of finally settling it as a brand. The demand from the market is very good, and the company is receiving good response as the quality of its recycled yarn is above par.

For producing recycled yarn, Sybly has acquired top quality recycled fibre with excellent properties, the company said.

“This move further consolidates the market reports and the stand that Sybly took a few months back to move into the recycled space that is more or less still a vacuum space,” Sybly said in a BSE filing.

Recycled polyester yarn is not only cost effective with matching quality, but it is also environment-friendly. Products made of RPY are already being sourced from India by big apparel and sportswear giants like Nike, Adidas and Levi's.

Manufacturing polyester yarn from recycled fibre is likely to increase margins by up to 10 per cent in comparison to the use of fresh fibre. (RKS)
