Overall, US imports of leather apparel and accessories reached $2.314 billion during January–February 2025. Cambodia ranked as the second-largest supplier, contributing $360.099 million (15.56 per cent), followed by Vietnam at $256.300 million (11.07 per cent), Italy at $247.302 million (10.68 per cent), and France at $245.659 million (10.61 per cent), according to Fibre2Fashion's market insight tool TexPro.
In 2020, China was also the top supplier but with a lower share of 16.36 per cent. That year, US imports totalled $7.408 billion, with $1,212.199 million coming from China. Vietnam supplied $1,061.437 million (14.33 per cent), Italy $1,052.933 million (14.21 per cent), Cambodia $907.857 million (12.25 per cent), and France $690.296 million (9.32 per cent).
In 2024, total US imports in the category amounted to $14.292 billion. Imports from China stood at $3,242.977 million (22.69 per cent), followed by Cambodia at $2,042.331 million (14.29 per cent), Italy at $1,705.261 million (11.94 per cent), Vietnam at $1,527.587 million (10.69 per cent), and France at $1,444.194 million (10.10 per cent), as per TexPro.
