Diamond industry gets WFDB Prez Schnitzer's support

Shmuel Schnitzer, President, World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB), while speaking at the inaugural ceremony of Jaipur Jewellery Show 2005, applauded the growth rate of Indian Diamond Industry.
He also promised better co-operation between WFDB and India.
He was the guest of honour at the four-day event that started from December 23 to 26, 2005.
Schnitzer urged significant jewelry industry players to concentrate on original and unique designs rather than on common designs.
Quality should be given importance.
He stressed the organization's intentions to play more concrete role in promoting the industry and welcomed the increasing role of the Bharat Diamond Bourse.
Schnitzer suggested that Anoop Mehta, the President of Mumbai's Bharat Diamond Bourse, could be granted permanent membership of the WFDB Executive Committee, soon.
He hoped that the Indian diamond traders will adopt the WFDB Mark and that it becomes the most recognized trademark of quality.
