CLIA cautions footwear exporters on anti-dumping in EU

China Leather Industry Association (CLIA) has cautioned footwear exporters on receiving orders from the EU to reduce losses arising from dumping charges.

CLIA also fears that the EU would impose anti-dumping duties against Chinese leather shoes prior to schedule.

Since some of the EU importers are trying to fulfill their orders before schedule to beat the decision, the Association has foreseen that Chinese footwear exports may rise substantially leading to attraction of anti-dumping charges.

The EU has investigated all 13 Chinese leather shoemakers suspected of dumping footwear in the region for possibly disrupting its market economy, observed industry experts.
