A revolutionary clothing line designed to curb the smartphone addiction has been recently introduced by a Japanese designer named Kunihiko Morinaga.

Dubbed as ‘Focus: Life Gear by Trident’, the new garment line will help people to concentrate in real world by battling social media addiction, which is wreaking havoc in personal lives of the modern society, according to the designer.

Each of the pieces of the collection features intricately cut, hand crafted radio frequency-shielding fabric incorporated pockets that block the electromagnetic waves of phones or tablets.

When stashed inside the pockets, the device is immediately rendered useless and the user will not receive any tweets, Facebook messages, emails and phone calls.

Replete with seamless tailoring, laser-cut and heat-crimping details, the functional yet stylish line, which is designed in collaboration with the Tokyo-born talent and the popular American chewing gum brand Trident, includes shirts, jackets and pants.

“You can chat, tweet, like and engage with “friends” all over the world. But sometimes our devices take up too much of our time and attention. While the internet and smartphones have made things more convenient, we are spending too much time in a virtual world, even when we are with real people,” the Focus website states.

Not available for sale yet, the collection was first revealed at Tokyo Fashion Week.
