Delegates can register their problems prior to attending or can bring along the pattern or garment with which they experience problems. Patrick will endeavour to suggest possible solutions and, where appropriate, even demonstrate how to rectify the problem.
Please note that this workshop is only applicable to those who have some pattern cutting skills.
Patrick will be hosting his fashion surgery on Thursday 28 between 14:00 and 17:00 at the SAFW Arts & Culture Fashion Seminar.
Lecture: Quality Assurance & Control The meaning of quality and its importance to emerging enterprises
Patrick's talk will focus on the importance of Quality Assurance and Control to any business wishing to compete in an increasingly informed marketplace.
What 'Quality' means to the manufacturer and end-purchaser will de discussed along with simple quality assurance/control management systems that can be used by small enterprises.
Patrick will be speaking at 9:15 on Sunday 31 July at the SAFW Arts & Culture Fashion Seminar.
SA Fashion Week was born out of a need to showcase the abundance of fashion talent that was going unnoticed in South Africa. Last year, SAFW was significant for two reasons: firstly, SA fashion design came of age and, secondly, SA business saw for the first time a viable industry developing.
