Chris Isaak, two-time Grammy nominated singer/songwriter, is ready for a “Summer Serenade” Opening Night Party at the Mandalay Beach outdoor entertainment stage of the Mandalay Bay Hotel.
This exquisite venue offers 11 acres of tropical-inspired poolside bliss thanks to the newly-completed $30-million-dollar beach expansion.
The event will be held from 7-11 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 27, 2007 and is co-sponsored by T: The New York Times Style Magazine. All proceeds will benefit the Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
After a productive day on the show floor, attendees will enjoy a great evening of networking at Mandalay Bay's newly renovated beach and spend an unforgettable night with legendary Chris Isaak and his musical blend of country, blues, and rock and roll.
For two decades, Chris Isaak has melted the hearts of fans with his music and unique style. His hits include “Wicked Game” (featured in David Lynch's film Wild at Heart), “Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing” (featured in Stanley Kubrick's final film Eyes Wide Shut), “Somebody's Cryin,” and “Forever Blue.” Released on May 9, 2007 his latest album, “Best of Chris Isaak,” is a compilation of his greatest hits.
“This event will be the ideal finish to MAGIC's first day. Our guests can relax at the beach with unbelievable food, drinks and a soulful concert that benefits a phenomenal children's hospital,” said Christopher McCabe, MAGICs vice president and general manager.
The fashion industry is recognized for its commitment to generating awareness of numerous charitable efforts, and MAGIC's Opening Night Party reflects its ongoing efforts to give back to the community.
Over the years, MAGIC has raised awareness and more than $1 million for children's charities and Habitat for Humanity with opening night parties featuring Seal, Duran Duran, Maroon 5, The Black Crowes, the Neville Brothers and many others.
