'Fit is paramount to Carter Humphrey brand' - Lindsey Carter

Carter Humphrey a new, high-end women's golf and resort apparel company announced that they have officially begun showing their spring/summer 2008 line to various private golf and country clubs, resorts, and specialty boutiques across the country.

The Carter Humphrey spring/summer 2008 collection offers a variety of both knit and woven styles in luxurious fabrics that have technical properties such as moisture wicking properties and UV protection but that remain sophisticated and classic.

In addition to style, Carter Humphrey makes a commitment to both fit and function with each piece. "Fit is paramount to the Carter Humphrey brand. We've done a lot of research to develop a fit that is both comfortable and flattering to a wide variety of customers", said Lindsey Carter, head designer and co-founder of Carter Humphrey.

The collection includes pieces that can be worn both on and off the golf course. Key items in the collection include stretch gabardine dresses with ball pockets and tee-holder details, dressed up versions of the traditional polo shirt with silver buttons and lurex stripe detail, and as a throwback to the 1920's a longer golf skirt which hits mid-calf.

Carter Humphrey was started in January, 2007 by both Lindsey Carter and Leigh Humphrey. Both Carter and Humphrey had spent numerous years in the fashion industry with such companies as Louis Vuitton, J. Crew and Saks Fifth Avenue before teaming up earlier this year to create Carter Humphrey.
