Adidas+challenge football event launched

Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA)'s global partners, Adidas has launched the Adidas+ Challenge.

The event is scheduled to be staged across seven cities during next few weeks including Delhi, Goa and Mumbai.

Young Indian football enthusiasts will have an opportunity to celebrate football in the back-drop of Football World Cup 2006 thatis barely two months away.

ESPN Star Sports will air FIFA World Cup in India, while Coca Cola, kids channel Hungama and mobile content provider Phoney Tunes will partner Addidas for this event.

The event will culminate in a grand finale in Kolkata on May 28, 2006.

Participating teams under 16 will play against each other and winning team will represent India for global Adidas +Challenge final to be played in Berlin, Germany, from July 1-4, 2006.

Adidas +Challenge will provide rare opportunity to Indian football enthusiasts to enjoy spirit of team work and deliver their personal best through this innovative football initiative, offers Hartwin Feddersen, Marketing Director, Adidas India.

Hungama TV Marketing Head Siddhartha Kapur said that, the channel was ground sponsor for this event and saw value in partnering as kids aged 4-14 are becoming increasingly interested in the game.

This opportunity could be used to gain better visibility across the country.

Coca-Cola is one of the longest-standing corporate partners of FIFA World Cup since 1950.
