JCPenney store coming in spring 2007 at Eden Prairie Center

Leading shopping center General Growth Properties Inc announced the addition of online retailer JCPenney to Eden Prairie Center in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. The 130,000-square-foot department store will open in spring 2007 in the former Mervyn's location.
JCPenney will incorporate their latest store design features to create an easy and exciting place to shop and showcase JCPenney's exceptional selection of high-quality, fashion-right merchandise at a smart price.
“This will be our fifth new store in the Twin Cities metro area since 2003, which speaks volumes about our commitment to this market, as well as customers' outstanding response to the merchandise and services we offer,” said Paul Freddo, JCPenney vice president and director of real estate.
“JCPenney has been part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul community for 86 years, and we look forward to continuing our expansion in this region as we join one of its premier shopping and entertainment destinations at Eden Prairie Center.”
Eden Prairie Center is a favorite shopping, family entertainment and dining destination for residents in the fast-growing and affluent southwest suburbs of Minneapolis-St. Paul. The center underwent a complete renovation and expansion in 2001.
It is located just south of I-494 between U.S. Highway 212 (Flying Cloud Drive) and Prairie Center Drive in Eden Prairie.
