Fourteen-time GRAMMY-winning producer, songwriter and musician David Foster is one of music's most active participants in a wide range of philanthropic causes and will music-direct the concert.

Tickets for "JCPENNEY JAM...THE CONCERT FOR AMERICA'S KIDS" went on sale at all Ticketmaster outlets this week, with prices ranging from $62.50 to $150.

The concert at the 6,300 seat Shrine Auditorium -- North America's largest single theater -- will be taped in High-Definition for a network broadcast airing on CBS-TV on August 22.

It will also be produced as a special two-disc DVD/CD combo package that will be available exclusively at JCPenney stores and online at jcp.com and AOL.com.

"JCPenney has brought together some of the most impressive entertainers in America for a mega production that will reach millions of households with family-orientated programming while also raising money for a cause that's close to the hearts of so many working parents," said Mike Boylson, chief marketing officer for JCPenney.

"For more than a century, JCPenney has been serving our customers through community service -- and access to quality afterschool programs is an issue of great importance to working families in America today."

JC Penney Corporation Inc, the wholly owned operating subsidiary of JC Penney Company Inc, is one of America's largest department store, catalog, and e-commerce retailers, employing approximately 151,000 associates.
