Nautica to launch women's sportswear collection this fall

Nautica, the brand known for its elevated style and quality designs will launch a women's sportswear collection this fall.

Building on the unique heritage that defines its menswear collection, the new line expands upon the current offerings for women, which include sleepwear and swimwear as well as a complete home collection.

The introduction of the women's collection reinforces the Nautica brand's commitment to consumer demand by providing inspired classics blended with a timeless sense of luxury. The new women's line will be available in August at retail doors nationwide.

"Our research shows that women want stylish clothing that relates to their lifestyle and easily transitions from weekend to work. The Nautica women's collection achieves this mix seamlessly and is the perfect complement to our successful menswear line."

Incorporating signature hardware and trims, the fall 2006 collection is anchored by key separates as well as outerwear, including trench coats, quilted jackets and wool toggle coats, a signature item for the Nautica brand. The color palette is grounded in neutrals with complimentary feminine shades of pink, periwinkle and green and also integrates the brand's iconic colors such as navy, orange, white and yellow.

Designed for the woman with a classic sensibility fueled with a casual ease, the line will include three distinctive collections: Westport, infusing the excitement and energy of the Nautica brand lifestyle with understated luxury and ease; Middleburg, a luxurious collection with feminine prints inspired by traditional architectural elements; and New Hampshire, a neutral color palette of new classics.
