Diamond retailer Blue Nile In announced the results of its Annual Meeting of Stockholders, held on May 23, 2006 at the Washington Athletic Club in Seattle, WA.
There were present at the meeting, in person or by proxy, stockholders of the Company who were the holders of 16,985,902 shares of common stock, representing 97.4% of the 17,431,551 shares of common stock outstanding as of the record date of March 31, 2006.
Nominees for election to the Board of Directors were approved. Stockholders elected nominees Mary Alice Taylor and Anne Saunders to serve on the Board of Directors until the 2009 annual meeting.
Additionally, stockholders ratified the selection by the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors of Deloitte and Touche LLP as the independent auditors of the Company for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2006.
